My mom had never been to Ireland, but wanted to go since I always seemed to sing it’s praises. We decided when she was here to go for a week. We flew into Kerry and drove pretty much around the entire island (excluding the south) and flew back out of Kerry. I think she really enjoyed it! – Once she got past my driving on the ‘wrong’ side of the road that is!
We hired a car in Kerry and our first stop was Inch Beach. The weather was perfect the entire trip, no rain until the last day, mainly sun!
We stopped in Dingle for some much needed dinner – Seafood Chowder – Best I’ve ever had. Absolutely magnificent! We then went off the beaten path to find our in the middle of nowhere best Bed and Breakfast (Hurley’s Bed and Breakfast) to set down our stuff before heading off again to grab a pint of beer at the pub down the way. The woman who runs the B & B was absolutely lovely and I would definitely stay there again. She made the most amazing Irish Breakfast for us the next day and pretty much ran the place by herself. I don’t know how she does it! It was immaculately clean, very comfortable and warm.
