After sleeping like the dead the night I arrived I met up with two of my lovely friends over at Victoria Park. We took a nice hour and a half stroll around it before heading back to one of their flats after the weather took a turn. There’s just something so great about sharing charcuterie and cheese with old friends.
Backing up a bit, It took me over an hour to get there by bus which would typically be about 30 minutes due to the Hackney Carnival road closures wanting to avoid the buses for the rest of the day, I took the Overground train from Homerton to Highbury and Islington and walked back to my flat. The road was so beautiful. Nice and green and full of trees. Here are some photos of the pubs I saw on the walk back.
